In 2012, Ana and Marko Kovač inherited a stone villa near Trogir. Rather than sell it, they decided to share it with travelers seeking authentic Croatian experiences. The response exceeded expectations.
Guests didn't just appreciate the property—they valued the personal attention, the local insights, the feeling that someone genuinely cared about their holiday. Word spread. Other villa owners approached the Kovač family, asking them to manage their properties with the same philosophy.
Today, Blazing Axle represents 47 exceptional properties along Croatia's coast. The approach remains unchanged: every villa is personally vetted, every guest receives individual attention, every stay is an opportunity to share what makes this coastline remarkable.

About Working With Us
Every property undergoes a multi-stage evaluation. We assess location, build quality, amenities, and the owner's commitment to hospitality. About 70% of properties we evaluate don't make the cut. Those that do receive annual reviews to ensure standards are maintained.
Scale versus depth. Large platforms list thousands of properties with minimal vetting. We personally know every villa in our collection. When you ask about a specific property, we can answer from direct experience—not from reading the same listing you did.
Not at all. Roughly 25% of our guests are Croatian families seeking staycations or celebrating special occasions. Our properties appeal to anyone who values quality accommodation and personalized service.
We've considered it. Montenegro and Slovenia are natural extensions. However, our value comes from deep local knowledge and established relationships. Expansion only makes sense when we can replicate that depth elsewhere. For now, Croatia remains our focus.
